And luckily for us, it tends to attract the best and brightest. Our most recent hires are no exception. Meet four marvelous new additions to our team who have all made quite the impression on us since they came aboard in the latter half of 2016.

For many, Labor Day is the sign of summer coming to an end. At Blockchain, we were hit with that reality last week when we said goodbye to (most of) our summer interns. These great young talents have, in the course of a couple of months, contributed to Blockchain and the bitcoin ecosystem as a whole in significant and extremely meaningful ways. Below, meet the folks who spent their summer helping us build. They could very well be the future of bitcoin.
We’re on a mission to build an open, accessible and fair financial future, one piece of software at a time. We’re making progress every day by bringing you new features and updates to our web wallet, as well as on iOS and Android. Last week we were excited to bring you an announcement about our work on Thunder, which opens the door to new solutions for bitcoin’s scalability, as we continue to support over 7 million users and beyond.
Behind the software are some amazing people and we’re proud to introduce three new additions to our team.
We’re already almost through with Q1 2016, and it’s been a pretty exciting year so far. Bitcoin has been gaining momentum all over the world, and we love being able to fill you in on the news from week to week. We announced the new Blockchain Wallet in February, our mobile update a month later, and have also incorporated dynamic fees. With that we’d like to introduce three new team members who have helped make all these great changes possible.

The predictions for 2016 suggest a continuation of positive developments, and startups are building some of the most dynamic, outstanding teams prepared to scale and tackle challenges along the way. Blockchain has been growing really quickly. In fact, we just won an award for the Scale Up Company of the year and week over week we’re seeing record traffic on our services. As we expand, finding amazing teammates to help us on our mission is critical. Today we’re excited to introduce some new colleagues and fellow bitcoin geeks.
It was great to get to know Marco, whose role at Blockchain is focused on infrastructure scaling and platform development. In the bitcoin industry, the roles that need to be filled are plentiful, as are the diversity of personalities that fill them. Marco, who joined us after three years of working at Google, quickly shares with me that he is a deep introvert with a passionate drive for improvement in all aspects of his life.
