As we mentioned in our latest recap, bitcoin has proven itself to be exceptionally resilient and fierce for the first few months of 2017. These new additions to the team also embody such qualities in their own unique ways. Keep reading to find out how!
Nicky, Executive Assistant to the CEO
Joining the team as EA to our CEO, Nicky brings quite the impressive resume along with her to Blockchain. She studied the art of executive secretarial skills in Sunny South London, and since then she’s held a number of unique and demanding roles. Nicky highlights her time as EA to the Director of Ceremonies for the London Organising Committee of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, EA to Commercial Director at Virgin Galactic, and over six years at the World’s leading public service broadcaster, the BBC, as exceptionally superstar points in her career. She’s also the only one on the team to have the distinguished experience of enjoying tea and cake with the Queen.
Conor, Junior DevOps Engineer
Hailing from Ireland, Conor is a recent Computer Science graduate with a special interest in the merging of technology and humanitarian projects. In his final year of university, one of his most notable projects included building an open source portable SLAM (or Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) system to transform disaster zone search and rescue methods. His initial idea was inspired by his work with NGOs in the developing world and can be impressively reproduced for under $200. A similar bigger-picture inspiration fuels his drive as Junior DevOps Engineer at Blockchain. Conor also has an enthusiasm for film photography (he documents some of his work here) and trains in the impressive art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Arianne, Marketing and Design Associate
After graduating from university, Arianne jumped right into her field of marketing and graphic design with primarily consumer health and pharmaceutical brand clients. She took a brief hiatus from the field when she stepped outside her comfort zone to become a kindergarten teacher in NYC. The Syracuse grad has since returned to pursuing her passion for design at Blockchain. She also proudly completed her first half marathon and is chasing the goal to complete a full marathon in the future. Undeniably festive, Arianne delights in keeping holiday decorations up as long as possible . . . Preferably 365 days a year.
