Solana Shines on the DEX Aggregator

At Blockchain.com, we take our legal and regulatory obligations seriously. As one of the world's largest and most trusted crypto companies, we operate in hundreds of jurisdictions, each with its own complex regulatory landscape. From day one, our commitment to compliance and upholding the highest standards has been a constant.&nbsp;
Recently, we&rsquo;ve seen some interest in a UK court proceeding involving two Blockchain.com executives which stems from the administrative matter of late filing business accounts.&nbsp;
It&rsquo;s important to understand that the UK&rsquo;s Companies House routinely brings these types of cases, issuing thousands of similar charges every year.&nbsp;
Between March 2023 and April 2024 alone, Companies House initiated roughly 2,400 cases for failure to file accounts on time. Many of these cases, however, go nowhere:

In 820 cases, the charges were withdrawn due to a lack of public interest.

<li style="color: #000000;">
Another 655 cases were adjourned to a later hearing date outside the reporting period ending April 2024.
</li>
</ul>
Over 60% of cases brought in that timeframe were dropped or delayed, showing a pattern of Companies House pursuing these matters by default with a broad brush, even when they lack legal merit or public interest and without taking into account a company&rsquo;s circumstances which may very well justify the delay.
In successful cases, a &ldquo;conviction&rdquo; is considered minor within the UK&rsquo;s legal framework, meaning fines are minimal, there&rsquo;s no risk of imprisonment, it is not recorded on the Police National Computer, and it is automatically expunged after 12 months.
Having addressed this entirely administrative matter, we expect the case will come to a close, just as many similar cases have before.
