As 2015 nears its end, we are taking a few moments to look back at the top five most popular posts that we have published this year. Listed below are the top posts which have garnered the most reader views this year, in descending order. During the summer of 2015, we made an exciting announcement to the bitcoin community and our wallet customers that based on feedback from community members around the world, that we have been hard at work behind the scenes to dramatically improve the Blockchain Wallet experience. We aren’t just talking about a facelift either. The announcement was for our next generation wallet, completely revamping our user experience for a safe, secure and friendly wallet. 4) Michael Jackson, Former COO of Skype, Joins Blockchain Board

In July 2015, we announced that former Skype COO Michael Jackson joined the Blockchain board. Michael Jackson wrote a personal post outlining his vision which drew a ton of traffic. We also announced the other members of our advisory board including Salil Pitroda, Bob Wigley, and the former and longest serving SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt, Jr. We thank all of them for writing such spirited and forward looking opinion articles.

Here we took a deep and thoughtful look at bitcoin and the block chain. We talked about why and how it is improving the world around us, and how bitcoin solves problems that once were thought to be unsolvable. In this deeper dive, we went back to the cypherpunk days to when digital cash was just thoughts on a computer screen, to current times and what problems that this new technology solves and how it is disrupting different industries.

It started with an unusual email from a government official asking for a call.  Strange emails are more or less par for the course for the CEO of a bitcoin company, but a few minutes into the call, Blockchain CEO Peter Smith realized something groundbreaking was happening.  For the first time, a bitcoin company was being invited on an official tour with the leader of a nation. Not just any leader, mind you, but David Cameron, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, home of the FinTech capital of the world.
