At Le Village, chef-owner Didier Pawlicki brings the charming bistro a healthy reinterpretation of French cuisine, offering gluten-free and vegan dishes. It represents everything you want from a neighborhood restaurant in Paris: unpretentious, solid, bourgeois cooking that references the regions, and a dining room evocative of bistros along the Seine (mood lighting, exposed brick walls, unique photographs, and so on). The restaurant began accepting bitcoin late last year, and also has a Lamassu ATM on location.
The cooking is authentic and robust but with refined touches, in dishes such as Coq au* Vin* or Gnocchi Parisian au Gratin with the fresh taste of truffles. The menu features carefully designed and well-proportioned dishes. And what else is delicious? The homemade *Banana Brulee* and *Fondant au Chocolat* (chocolate lava cakes) are equally devour-worthy. Not to mention the generous BYOB (bring your own beer) with no corkage fee will allow you to bring a bottle of vino or two to dinner. Le Village is this season’s must-visit.
