Quick Bit: How to send bitcoins from a saved address in the Blockchain iOS Wallet

This is a Blockchain Quick Bit, where we show you a quick and easy tip to help you use our products and services. Today we’ll show you a section of the Blockchain iOS Wallet for sending bitcoins from saved addresses.

What is a saved address?

A saved address is a public bitcoin address that you have the option to label in your Blockchain Wallet for future reference. Labeled addresses let you know if there is a particular use for a certain address in your wallet. For example, if you have an address specifically used for savings, you’d want to label it clearly to ensure you aren’t spending from that address, but instead using funds from an address labeled for the appropriate purpose.

Sending from saved addresses

To send bitcoins using the Blockchain iOS Wallet from a saved address is a snap. First tap on the wallet Send icon, which is the third tab on the right. On the top of the screen, tap “From: Any Address.” Here if you have bitcoin addresses you have created and saved in the past, they will pop up for you to select from. If you don’t have any saved addresses yet, read our tutorial on how to create and label a new bitcoin address in the Blockchain iOS Wallet.
