Meet the Businesses of Blockchain Merchant

When we initially set out to create our merchant app, our vision was to develop a simple and comprehensive method of accepting Bitcoin. With 0% fees, instant transactions, an intuitive user interface and around the clock customer support, Blockchain Merchant came to life at the beginning of March this year. We have over 2000 downloads and a rank in the top 500 in five different countries in Google Play’s Business category. We’d like to take this opportunity to share with you the personal stories of several merchants using Blockchain Merchant.

Our merchant app pre-launch at Chez Sof in Paris!
**Chez Sof**

Sofiane is from Algeria, but lives in Paris, France. He currently owns and manages a trendy bar, a dream he moved to Paris to achieve, in the bustling neighborhood near Les Halles. Already understanding the benefits of Bitcoin, Sofiane was accepting the payments using a blurry QR code on an old iPod. On the eve before our official launch, we presented a new tablet to him with our merchant app installed. On his first night using the app, he processed over a dozen tabs totaling over one thousand euros. It’s no surprise to us that he’s said he is keeping his bitcoins. If you find yourself in Paris, do visit Chez Sof and be sure to pay in Bitcoin!

Christine from The Sandwicherie loves the financial flexibility Bitcoin payments give her! Here she is with our merchant app!

The Sandwicherie does not accept credit cards. Bitcoin is preferred here!
**The Sandwicherie**

Christine hails from China. For the past two years, she has been running The Sandwicherie, which is across from the Sorbonne in Paris. Bitcoin was unfamiliar to her, until a regular customer of hers who also happens to be a Blockchain employee, began explaining the benefits of accepting it as payment. Since Christine does not accept credit cards, the new option appealed to her and gave her a new sense of financial flexibility. As with Sofiane, Christine is not trading her bitcoins for cash, but if you know of any other local shops accepting it, she’d be delighted to spend them.**

Francesco uses Blockchain Merchant on his phone and tablet to process Bitcoin payments at Divino Deli!
**Divino Deli**

Divino Deli describes itself as an “authentic but modern looking” Italian delicatessen, located in Bristol, United Kingdom. Francesco and Francesca, the couple running Divino, don’t really understand or care about the technical details behind decentralized cryptographic money, but they do see the benefit of free, instant transactions. The 2% fee many credit card companies charge is enough to completely wipe out their profit margin on certain goods, like the specialty goods they import from Italy. They rely on mobile and tablet technology to process payments, which made it an easy transition to using Blockchain Merchant.

We are absolutely delighted to be able to provide merchants with a payment option that is more affordable, innovative and easy to use. These three small businesses are only a glimpse into the world of merchants seeing the benefits of accepting Bitcoin using Blockchain Merchant.
